Diamondplure™ – Limited Product Warranty for Coatings

Diamondplure™ provides a limited product warranty on its products, covering manufacturing defects and chemical composition defects.

The warranty is a voluntary additional benefit for the customer and does not limit liability for defects under the Consumer Protection Act (KSL Chapter 5).

1. Warranty content

  • The warranty only applies to manufacturing defects and chemical composition defects of the product.
  • The warranty does not cover the quality of work, installation method, or incorrect coating by a third party.
  • The warranty is valid only if the product has been used in accordance with Diamondplure™ official instructions for use and the surface has been maintained with nanowash™ care products.

2. Promised durability of coatings

nanox®️ siO2 HYDRONANO

  • Up to 6 months (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment every 2 months
  • Maintenance treatments with coating every 3/6 months

nanox®️ siO2

  • up to 12 months (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment every 6 months
  • Maintenance treatment with coating every 6/12 months

nanox®️ siO2 graffex

  • Up to 36 months (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment every 6 months
  • Maintenance treatment with coating every 12 months

nanox®️ SiO2 graffex HEAVY DUTY

  • up to 12 months (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment 1 week/6 months (depending on usage)
  • Maintenance treatment with coating 1 week/12 months (depends on use)

nanox®️ siO2 marine

  • up to 6 months (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment every 2 months for top surfaces / 6 months for bottom
  • Maintenance treatment with coating 3 months/6 months for deck surfaces / 6 months for bottom

nanox®️ siO2 infrax

  • Up to 5 years (conditional)
  • nanowash™ treatment every 6 months / 12 months
  • Maintenance treatment with coating 24 months / 36 months

Note! The promised durability of the coatings is only achieved if the products have been used according to the instructions and the surfaces have been maintained with nanowash™ care washes according to the table.

3. Burden of proof

The validity of the warranty requires that the customer or refinishing company can demonstrate through documentation:

Proof of purchase and batch numbers for used Diamondplure™ products

Compliance with the instructions for use in the coating process (priming, coating, finishing)

Use nanowash™ care washes at the intervals specified in the table.

Photos:

  • Surface before coating
  • Surface after coating
  • Surface at the time of reclamation

    Proof that the surface has not been treated in violation of the warranty terms, for example:
  • No competing coatings, waxes or sealants
  • No brush washes or mechanical brushes
  • No sanding, painting, polishing or machining
  • No detergents, brushes or rough cloths that violate the warranty conditions


Note! If the customer cannot prove the above, Diamondplure™ is not obligated to process the claim under warranty.

4. The warranty does not cover the following situations:

A. Wrong products and methods

  • Use of competing coatings, waxes, sealants or detergents
  • Brush washing machines or highly mechanical washing methods
  • Rough brushes, abrasive sponges, use of hard objects
  • Neglecting nanowash™ care washes

B. Mechanical damage

  • Surface grinding, painting, polishing or mechanical processing after coating
  • Sandblasting or other aggressive grinding
  • Wear of the coating on glass surfaces due to poor or faulty windshield wipers
  • Dry wiping of the windshield, which wears down the coating due to sand, dust or salt

C. Environmental pressures

Year-round storage without protection in unusual conditions, such as:

  • Construction, cement and road dust
  • Proximity to the railway (iron dust, brake dust)
  • Dust exposure in industrial areas and construction sites
  • Heat
  • Long-term exposure to alkaline chemicals
  • Long-term exposure to acidic chemicals
  • Long-term exposure to fresh or hard water
  • Long-term exposure to salty marine environments without nanowash™ maintenance

D. Unusual natural phenomena

  • Abrasion damage caused by grit, sand or branches
  • Storms, floods, lightning strikes
  • Exceptionally strong UV radiation
  • Acid rain or other extreme weather conditions

5. Complaints in B2C and B2B customers

Consumer customers (B2C)

  • If the consumer purchases the Diamondplure™ product themselves, the warranty applies directly to the product
  • If a consumer purchases a refinishing service from a third-party company, complaints will first be handled with the service provider.
  • Diamondplure™ is not responsible for the quality of third party work.

Refinishing companies and retailers (B2B)

  • Consumer protection does not apply to B2B trade.
  • Diamondplure™ liability is limited to the value of the product only.
  • Labor costs, recoating, and customer refunds are not covered by the warranty.
  • The coating company must be able to prove the manufacturing defect of the product and provide complete documentation of the coating process and maintenance.

6. Product storage and shelf life

The Diamondplure™ Limited Product Warranty does not apply to products that are:

  • Stored contrary to instructions
  • Used after opening expired
  • Used beyond the stated service life

Coatings

  • Shelf life in unopened packaging up to 3 years
  • Once opened, the product must be used within 12 months.
  • The coating must not be stored in freezing or hot conditions.

Detergents (nanowash™ and other reactive products)

  • Shelf life in unopened packaging up to 12 months
  • Due to reactivity, use within 6 months after opening.

Storage instructions for all products

  • Store products in a cool, dry place and away from light.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Do not drop, damage or break the product packaging under any circumstances.
  • Unopened packages must not be stored in car trunks, construction sites or other areas where temperature and humidity fluctuate drastically.

Note! If the product has expired, been stored incorrectly, damaged or exposed to extreme conditions, Diamondplure™ is not obligated to process the warranty claim.

7. Complaints process

  2. Attach purchase receipts and batch numbers
  3. Provide the requested photos and usage process information
  4. Diamondplure™ will process the complaint within 14 business days.
